Sainz set for Monza engine grid penalty

Red Bull/Getty Images Toro Rosso driver Carlos Sainz Jr. is set to take a 10 place grid penalty into this weekend's Italian Grand Prix. The Spanish rookie has endured a difficult summer period, having retired from the most recent four races in Austria, Britain, Hungary and Belgium due to mechanical failures. Sainz did not take the start in Belgium due to a loose connector in the engine, which led to a loss of power. Toro Rosso has confirmed ahead of the team's home race that the damage caused to Sainz's engine will result in him copping a 10 place drop at Monza.
