Bottas handed grid penalty for red flag overtake

Valtteri Bottas has picked up a grid penalty for this weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix after overtaking Felipe Nasr under red flags during second practice. The Finnish driver and a Williams representative were called to meet with the FIA stewards after FP2 at the Interlagos circuit. Bottas admitted to overtaking Nasr between the fifth and sixth corners of the track during the red flag period, which was caused by Fernando Alonso stopping his car with an engine fire. After examining video footage, receiving race director Charlie Whiting's report and talking to the team and driver, the stewards decided to give him a three-place grid penalty for the penultimate round of the 2015 season.
